As Colombia’s Minister of Culture for over three years, I led with the motto “Diverse Colombia, culture of all, culture for all,” driving structural transformations that remain cornerstones of the country’s cultural management nearly two decades later. Key achievements include the creation of laws such as the Library Law, the Heritage Law, and the Native Languages Law, as well as CONPES policies for cultural industries, historical centers, and the Film Commission. I also implemented national plans for audiovisuals, dance, and groundbreaking programs in digital culture and cultural entrepreneurship.
